Singapore's Water Agency, PUB, launches Global Innovation Challenge - applications close on Nov 2nd

Singapore's National Water Agency, PUB, has launched its first Global Innovation Challenge to support the agency's transformation into a Smart Utility of the Future. Pilot funding up to SGD 250,000 - and the opportunity to access PUB’s unparalleled test-bedding opportunities in Singapore - is up for grabs for innovative solutions addressing the following challenges (click for more details):

  1. Sensor Data Integrity Monitoring

  2. Seamless Coagulation Control

  3. Real-time Detection of Taste and Odour Compounds in Water

  4. Automated Earth Control Measure Submission Evaluator

  5. Automated Identification and Enumeration of Midge Populations

  6. Robotics for Water Tank Cleaning

To officially enter the challenge, Danish companies are encouraged to submit their solutions by Monday, 2 November, 2359hrs (UTC+8). More details on how to submit and application requirements are available here: .

Are Danish companies eligible to receive direct funding from PUB?

Answer: Yes


Can the development work take place outside of Singapore?

Answer: This depends on the nature of the proposed solution. It is possible for part of the development work to take place outside of Singapore.


Is the funding on reimbursement basis or will some of the funding be available upfront with subsequent funding released as milestones & deliverable are met?

Answer: Funding will be on a reimbursement basis.
