The Trade Council in Singapore has been in dialogue with IPI Singapore to gain a better understanding of how Danish companies can benefit from participating in TechInnovation.

Q: What is TechInnovation and what is your previous track record in terms of connecting companies with potential partners / customers?

TECHINNOVATION is a premier technology-industry brokerage event organised by IPI. It brings together international and Singapore technology providers and seekers to explore technology and business collaboration opportunities through open innovation. In its ninth year since its inception in 2012, TechInnovation has grown to become a leading conference and exhibition in Singapore that focuses on the matching of industry’s needs to enabling technologies.

TechInnovation 2020 will be a fully digital event that will take place for 24 hours over 5 days from 7 to 11 December 2020. Exhibitors and attendees across all time zones will be able to participate and network with each other virtually. You can find out more here.

In the past when it was organised as a physical event, TechInnovation attracted over 5000 participants from more than 50 countries. More than 400 technology offers were showcased. 75% of the participants were technology seekers from the industry with three-quarter of them in mid and senior management role. Till date, more than 50 successful partnership agreements have been facilitated. This year, as a virtual event, we expect more international participants as it is easily accessible. It is free for attendees to sign up.

Denmark’s Aquaporin was one of many success stories facilitated by IPI. You can find out more here.

Q: What are the tangible benefits for companies joining in terms of expected audience, knowledge exchange, and pitching & exhibition opportunities?

Exhibitors are able to showcase their technology offers and obtain opportunities to pitch to international technology seekers at Crowdpitching webinars. They will meet potential partners seeking R&D collaboration, technology commercialisation or licensing through Tech Matching or virtual B2B meetings. One of the Crowdpitching themes is Urban Solutions & Sustainability. Danish companies with green technologies and seeking commercialisation partnerships are strongly encouraged to exhibit.
